Moderna Museet Malmö

On 26 December, 2009, Moderna Museet Malmö was inaugurated in one of Sweden’s most beautiful exhibiton spaces – John Smedberg’s power station from 1901. These used to be the premises of Rooseum centre for contemporary art. Moderna Museet Malmö offers art experiences unique for the whole Öresund region. The museum makes the exceptional Moderna Museet collection much more accessible to the public, and offers a new landmark and meeting-place, and a major reinforcement to the art scene of the region.
