9 October 6pm. Surrealisms: Psychology
Etzel Cardeña is professor of consciousness and anomalistic psychology at Lund University. Under the title Exploring other realities: altered states of conciousness, psi and surrealism he will talk about surrealisms relationship with psychology. (In English).

 

16 October 6pm. Surrealisms: Literature
Kristoffer Noheden, editor at Sphinx Bokförlag, a publisher specialising in surrealist literature, will talk about surrealism in literature throughout history and up to today. (In Swedish).

 

23 October 6pm. Surrealisms: Film
Ingrid Stigsdotter, art critic and teacher at Linneuniversitetet, will talk about surrealism in films and Luis Buñuels legendary An Andalusian Dog will be screened. (In Swedish).

30 October 6pm. Surrealisms: Artist talk Magnus Wallin
Magnus Wallin is one of the artists represented in THE SUPERSURREALISM. Museum Director and curator John Peter Nilsson joins Magnus Wallin in a conversation about his work in relation to surrealism. A selection of Wallins works for video will also be screened. (In Swedish).

 

20 November 6pm. Surrealisms: Music
Fredrik Stahlénius, art historian and philosopher, talks about and plays surrealist music. (In Swedish).

 

4 December 6 pm. Surrealisms: Theatre
Etzel Cardeña returns to the museum, here in his role as the artistic director of the International Theatre of Malmö (ITM). We will be given an introduction to surrealist theatre and staged readings of the first act of If you please by André Breton and Philippe Soupault and the final act of When five years pass by Federico Garcia Lorca, with actors from ITM. (In English)

 

5 February 6 pm. Surrealisms: Classical surrealism.

Jenny Grönvall and Line Skywalker Karlström will comment the exhibition THE SUPERSURREALISM. In cooperation with W.I.S.P.

 

9–11 November, 6 pm:

Shadow Theatre with The Unholy (Lisa Jeannin, Rolf Schuurmans, Per-Henrik Fredriksson and the turtle Vilhelm)

 

20 January, 6 pm:

JULIACKS together with invited Malmö residents.

Guided tour with babies

 

9 October: A special tour for the youngest. Guided tour with babies is a special tour where the babies set the pace. Together we explore the current exhibitions. For babies aged 0-15 months. All tours are held in Swedish.

 

The tours starts at 11.15 am, 12.15 and 2.15 pm.
