“It is with immense satisfaction that we have been able to recruit one of the world’s leading figures on the international art scene as director of Moderna Museet, one of our most important cultural organisations,” says Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth. ”I am convinced that Daniel Birnbaum is the right person to cultivate and promote this prestigious institution in the field of modern and contemporary art, both in Sweden and abroad.”
“I am very happy and honoured to have been appointed director of Moderna Museet,” says Daniel Birnbaum. “This is a museum I grew up with, and where I first encountered modern and contemporary art.
