Real Artist´s Don´t Have Teeth

The Spanish artist Dora García has been enthusiastically acclaimed all over the world for her works in different genres commenting on the communication between art and audience. Real Artists Don’t Have Teeth (2009) is a performance monologue that uses black humour in an exploration of the complexity in an actor’s encounter with the audience, juxtaposing concepts such as appreciation and censorship, mainstream and marginal. This work, in Swedish, is performed by the actor Jakob Tamm.
Real Artists Don’t Have Teeth is performed for the first time in the Cinema on Tuesday, 9 March, at 6.30 pm. This event is organised jointly with Index in Stockholm, where Dora García’s exhibition I Am a Judge will be on until 28 march. Real Artists Don’t Have Teeth is part of the Mad Marginals series and ins produced by Index. (www.indexfoundation.se).
