Guided tours and Workshop

Visning och verkstad
Together with an art educator, we look at art in the museum. Then we go on to the Workshop and make things inspired by the art we have seen. This guided tour and Workshop session is available in Spanish, English and Swedish. Choose between touring any of the temporary exhibitions, the permanent collection or a theme tour.

Kiddies’ choice
A guided tour of works of art in the collection that are favourites with the children. We look at Andy Warhol’s cow wallpaper, a whole wall covered with cows, Eva Hesse’s sculpture “Untitled”, which looks like a drawing in the air, and Nils Dardel’s “Drama”, where violent emotions erupt in a mysterious room. Then we move on to the Workshop to paint and sculpt.

Discover Moderna Museet
We explore the museum and its collection to learn more about art. We look at a few popular works by artists such as Andy Warhol, Niki de Saint Phalle and Salvador Dalí and talk about them. An exciting introduction for kids who have never been to Moderna Museet before. After the tour we go to the Workshop to make sculptures.

Making a portrait
How do you make a portrait? We study works in the collection to see how different artists have made portraits using a wide variety of materials. Woman with Blue Collar by Pablo Picasso, Monogram by Robert Rauschenberg and Monsieur Iffa by Ninnan Santesson. Afterwards, we make our own portraits in the Workshop.
