Becoming European

18.10 2014 – 22.2 2015

Stockholm

Meriç Algün Ringborg (1983) was born and raised in Istanbul. She went to art school in Sweden and has lived in Stockholm for many years. She now shares her time between Sweden and Turkey.

In 2009-2012, Algün Ringborg created several works that explore identity and belonging, directly reflecting her own experience of migrating over national, cultural, linguistic and bureaucratic borders. This is the first time several of these works are exhibited together.
