Max Ockborn and Whose Museum in the house!

The sculpture was located in Whose Museum’s gallery in Malmö from 2019 to 2024. It has now arrived here and wishes to continue its social relationships with the staff, visitors, and the collection. The artist notes that his “sculptures come into their own when one can see beyond the materials in them and instead see the social situation where they can be a conversation partner among others.”

Whose Museum is an art collective and museum that works with the collection of everyday objects, alternative conservation, and archiving as an artistic practice. The museum’s premise is simple: anyone can donate anything to the collection. Part of the retrospective exhibition “Whose Museum: Was Here” is on display at various locations in Malmö until 29 September 29.
