Marcel and Andrezj are a legendary pair of mountaineers. Marcel always takes the lead whereas Andrezj plays a secondary role. Now they face the biggest challenge, reaching the Jungfrau summit of the highest mountain. But Andrezj is no longer willing to continue in Marcel’s shadow.

GOING TO BEYOND (Canada/Estonia, 2018, 5:20 min)
The film is based on the song, Üle Toonela tumeda vee (Over the Dark Waters to Toone) and is about going to the land of the dead in the Finno-Ugric mythology. Sung by singers that were recent refugees in Toronto. It tells the singers’ story of despair and renewal.

A young woman takes matters into her own hands after events over the course of one traumatic night in Stockholm.
WEST QUESTION EAST ANSWER (United Kingdom, 2018, 6:26 min)
This documentary explores the communication problems between two generations (a Korean grandmother and her German granddaughter) based on their cultural and historical background. Based on a true event that the director experienced with her grandmother one summer.
WE WERE THREE (VI VAR TRE) (Sweden, 2018, 9:45 min)
Based on true events; three young girls are on their way home from a parent free weekend in England. A naive joke at the wrong place leads to unexpected consequences. This unpleasant film forces us to reflect on what responsibility we have for our actions.

VED – ZERAFSHAN IMPROVISATION (Sweden, 2014, 7:16 min)
In 2014 the Swedish band VED toured Central Asia. In the village of Zerafshan in the Fann Mountains in Tajikistan, they found an abandoned Soviet factory and recorded this improvisation.
THE DARKNESS OF MIGUEL (Argentina, 2019, 7:41 min)
The film tells the story of a farmer who at 20 years of age became blinded by malpractice. Despite his reality he continues to raise his 8-year-old son with the help of his older sister.
THE RUGBEATER (Sweden, 2018, 4 min)
This film asks questions on how we measure our accomplishments by presenting the director’s strong grandmother. Why is strength and stamina awarded in sports but not in everyday life?

A humorous and moving portrait of retired actor Lars-Gunnar Persson who spends his days with his neighbor’s dog, sharing memories of failed relationships and questioning what life might have been.

A man, Franc, departs from his cabin near the mountaintop and descends down on skies with great speed. Where is his destination and why such a life-endangering descent? The reason is very simple. The Brlog inn where he can drink a cup of tea and perhaps a beer and talk about what’s bothering him.

Maman Soori, a lonely elderly woman, makes her living by cooking homemade food for a few customers who order through ‘Mamanpaz’ website. One day her food is too salty and she loses her job because of the bad reviews. What will the consequences of the customers’ decision be?
A LIFE FROM DEATH (Finland, 2017, 20:07 min)
In a hospice, every day is somebody’s last day alive. The sheets are changed, and someone else brought in to die. Before the end, hands are held, and there is time for coffee. All this dying is just the usual everyday life.

A short story dealing with power and the universal theme of human’s fear and threat. It brings the topic of global disasters which come through someone with power at the top of the pyramid.
NAE-AP (Korea, 2015, 18:40 min)
Nae-ap portrays a group of the Kim clan community and their fellow independence fighters at the World War II. The film focuses on the time of their departure on Dec 24th 1910 in order to seek asylum in Gando, China to organise the independence army against Japanese rule.

In this experimental film the director tells the story about her grandmother who grew up during the Cold war, her upbringing, how tense the time was and how she relieved it through jokes.

The film explores the form of simple expression and addresses variations of human expressions through common people’s voices. The short film’s framework is meant to bring hope, empathy and a willingness to believe in man as an active critical thinking creature.
