Concrete Matters
Stockholm, 24.2 2018 – 13.5 2018
The exhibition presents Latin American Concrete and Neo-Concrete art from the mid-1930s to the 1970s. It includes some 80 works from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Venezuela, by artists who explored the potential and boundaries of Concretism in various ways, and with partly different intentions. The exhibition will highlight the Brazilian Neo-Concrete movement, and artists such as Lygia Clark, Willys de Castro and Helió Oiticica, all who radically changed the notion of the work of art as a static object in the late 1950s.
