Mud Muses – A Rant About Technology
Stockholm, 12.10 2019 – 12.1 2020
The group exhibition Mud Muses – A Rant About Technology revisits the theme of art and technology and borrows its title from an installation by Robert Rauschenberg and an essay by Ursula K. Le Guin. Historically, art and technology have been a cornerstone for Moderna Museet.
In its early years, the Museum showed seminal exhibitions on man and machine. Mud Muses – A Rant About Technology explores this history once more and proposes new perspectives on it. A variety of works and projects are presented as exhibitions-within-the-exhibition, including the early-1970s Vision Exchange Workshop from Mumbai, several generations of cyber-feminists, and cosmograms from Marubo shamans.
