Easter Break – Paint with Nature!

Easter Break at the museum

During the Easter break, we paint outdoors and let nature become a part of the artwork! We are inspired by the way artist Vivian Suter works.

Date: 17 – 18 April

Time: at 11.00–15.00

Location: Ola Billgrens plats, outside of the museum. In case of rainy weather, we work in the Workshop

Age: For all ages. From 4 years and up in company with an adult. Drop in, limited amount of seats. If the activity takes place in the Workshop, adults need to bay admission ticket. Free admission for those 25 and under.

During the Easter break, we let nature be a co-creator in art! We paint and create outdoors, just like the artist Vivian Suter. The trees become our easels, and the shadows of branches our motifs. If a leaf gets stuck in the paint — let it become part of the artwork!

About Vivian Suter

Vivian Suter lives and works in Panajachel, Guatemala. The surrounding jungle is her studio. It was during a trip in 1982 that she fell in love with the place and decided to move there. She bought a piece of land, which had previously been a coffee plantation, by Lake Atitlán. Since then, her painting has been a collaboration with the surrounding nature – you could say that nature is a co-creator in her work.
