The snake is an animal that evokes emotions and is found in many fairy tales and myths. In the artist Merike Estna’s exhibition Ghost from the future, with memories from past, the snake appears through different layers. Often, the snake gets it shape and color by using different painting techniques in layers upon layers. In Verkstan you get the opportunity to try some of these techniques on materials such as paper and textiles. Choose your own animal when you combine these expressions.
Drop-in at 11.15-15.00. From 4 years. Limited number of places, first come, first served. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Free entrance!

KHM x MMM presents a broad programme of internationally active artists, theorists, writers and curators connected to current themes and exhibitions. The programme and the invited speakers are presented continuously. Welcome to an artist talk with James Richards (b.1983, Cardiff, UK), an artist whose video, sound and curatorial projects examine themes of obsession, desire and technology through the use of archival research, found footage and extensive collaboration. Rooted in the methodology of montage his work hosts and repurposes visual and sonic material in abstract, sensual and at times violent ways. His compositions are presented in minimalist spacious installations that invites the viewer to engage physically and emotionally with the sensuality of experience. Free admission!
Sensing Nature from Within is part international art exhibition featuring 12 artists and artist groups, part extensive programme of lectures, talks, and performances. Welcome to the performance Monstra, which sets the classic against the absurd and the organic against the artificial. In the encounter between these contrasts, many of our cultures’ arbitrary ideas of man’s position in relation to nature and of acceptable female behavior are manifested. The work is performed by Kitty Katt, Danielli Mendes, Josefa Pereira, Mariana Costa, and Patrícia Bergantin, all of whom have also contributed to the choreography. In partnership with BARCO and Iaspis, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s International Programme for Visual and Applied Artists. Limited number of seats, pre-booking is required. Fully booked!
