Workshop with the artists behind REDOUBT!

Build your fortress

26.4 2026

Malmö

The artists behind REDOUBT are coming to our Workshop/Verkstan! Don’t miss this chance to take part in the artistic process and build a fortress together with John Skoog, Ernst Skoog, Erlend Rødsten, and Gabriel Karlsson.

Together with the artists, we explore an open artistic process where nothing is right or wrong. We build using materials with varied textures, shapes, and volumes – such as scrap pieces of wood and metal, corrugated cardboard, and reused materials from hardware stores. We will also use leftover materials from the construction of “Svalebo/Swallow’s nest”.
An open workshop – everyone contributes and builds together on a shared structure. A bit like the children have built dens throughout the ages.

“REDOUBT” is both an exhibition and a film, marking the culmination of a twelve-year artistic project in the footsteps of Karl-Göran Persson. When John Skoog and his collaborators reconstructed Karl-Göran’s building for the film production, the work evolved into a collective artistic exploration. The result – a monumental sculpture titled “Svalebo/Swallow’s nest” – is now being shown for the first time.
“Svalebo/Swallow’s nest” was created collaboratively by John Skoog and his fellow artists Laslo Chenchanna, Julian Ernst, Gabriel Karlsson, Erlend Rødsten, Søren Schwarzberg, and Ernst Skoog. What began as a set for the feature film “REDOUBT” developed into a shared artistic exploration.
