Paulo Venancio Filho is a professor at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, critic and curator. He was invited by Moderna Museet as a guest curator for the exhibition Time & Place: Rio de Janeiro 1956–1964.
He also curated the section on Rio de Janeiro in Century City: Art and Culture in the Modern Metropolis at Tate Modern, 2001.
