About Mothers Rebellion
The Mothers Rebellion is an organization of mothers and allies throughout Sweden, who want to see strong action from politicians and other leaders in society to deal with the climate crisis. We are involved in driving the global movement Mothers* Rebellion.
Knit for the climate
Inspired by a similar project with Mothers Rebellion in Norway, the idea arose to manifest on Sweden’s Overshoot Day, the day when we in Sweden have used up this year’s budget of renewable resources. Around Sweden, women, individually and at special knitting events, began to knit parts for a scarf in red yarn that was supposed to represent a red line for the climate.
