Night Shift: Per Svensson/Nocturnal Activities: Freddie Wadling
2.2 2013 – 3.3 2013
Malmö
In Night Shift, Per Svensson explores the interaction between senses and environment from dusk to dawn. How does our perception change over the hours, and how does the night influence the creative conditions? This exhibition presents new, suggestive structures, in sculptures, films, sound and paintings.
Freddie Wadling, perhaps best known as a musician, performer and song-writer, is influenced in his art by the hidden, cryptic and occult. Nocturnal Activities features drawings made from 1979 to 2009. They are imbued with the artist’s fascination for horror films and theatre, and viewers will find references to psychedelic posters and Hieronymus Bosch.
The Time Clock that is hung between Nocturnal Activities and Night Shift gives visitors the opportunity to clock in and out, to go on the night shift.
