The lecture focuses on how the two artists work with puppets. The doll, as an object, material and symbol, is analyzed on the basis of how it appears as a sculpture, in photography, in moving images and in theater and performance. Medium and materiality become crucial here for the meeting between works of art and viewers.
About Camilla Larsson
Camilla Larsson has for many years worked as a curator for contemporary art, she also writes and lectures on art. “Appearances. Performativity theoretical interpretations of Tadeusz Kantor’s art” is her doctoral dissertation in art history, presented at Södertörn University in 2021, with support from the Polish Institute in Stockholm.
