Moki Cherry said that her home was a stage. Her art shaped everyday life and was never put on pause. She sewed travel bags in the form of textile collages and covered furniture – desks, chairs, and shelves – with newspaper images, creating three-dimensional collages in this way.
During the Christmas break, we will try to make three-dimensional collages on sculptures that we create using newspaper, tape, and plaster bandages. Moki Cherry used to add messages, small texts, to her artworks. What do you think is an important message? Sneak it in!
