It is time to celebrate the shortest day of the year with our selection of short films. During Short Film Day 2023, Moderna Museet Malmö presents a number of short films for children and teenagers.

Date: 21 December
Time: 13.00 – 16.00 Children’s films
16.00 – 18.00 Films for young adults incl. “Life is easy” by Javid Javari and “Meetings on Monbijougatan” by Baltazar Faunbäck
Tickets: Included in the admission fee. Free admission for those 18 and under.

The short film day is conducted with the support of the Swedish Film Institute and Folkets Bio.

During the Short Film Day, Moderna Museet Malmö shows a wide selection of Swedish and international films for children, young people and adults. We also show two short films created by two people from the network Kompis Sverige; Javid Javari and Baltazar Faunbäck, made during a stop-motion workshop at the museum.

The Short Film Day concept started in France in 2011 and is currently available in more than 20 countries in the northern hemisphere. In Sweden, the Short Film Day was launched in 2014 as an initiative by the Swedish Film Institute.
