On the penultimate day of “Lars Englund – Under Construction” we meet in the exhibition for a talk about the artist’s forms, materials and sketches between Olle Granath and Museum director Elisabeth Millqvist.

For over 50 years, Olle Granath has been in dialogue with Lars Englund and both presented and followed his exhibitions.

“One way of understanding and following the process is to study the ample sketch material Lars Englund has amassed over more than half a century of working on what is basically one and the same set of problems. It covers his grabbling with geometry, all the digressions, the sudden breakthroughs, references to existing architecture and to nature.”

Olle Granath

Olle Granath has been director of the Moderna Museet and the National Museum, permanent secretary at the Royal Academy of Arts to 2009 and is the author of several art books.
