Winter holiday goes Colour holiday!

Workshop from home

22.2 2021 – 28.2 2021

Malmö

Our theme for the winter holiday is colour! We have created a task for you to work with from home during the winter holiday. Discover the colours in your surroundings and paint a solid colour picture every day!

Everything has a colour. Even a gray and worn surface is full of colour – look closely and you will discover lots of shades!

The artist Hilma af Klint worked in series, that is, she painted many pictures on the same theme. By the end of the week, you will have made your own series, a series of colour pictures of up to 7 paintings!

In many of the pictures that Hilma af Klint painted, there are many different colours, from light pink to darkest blue. But in some of her paintings, only one single colour fills the surface – or almost – some paintings have dimly lit squares in different colours in each corner of the image.

A work of art with only one colour can be called monochrome, and it is monochrome pictures that you can fill the winter holiday week with!

PSST! Even if you paint with only one colour, you can vary your painting by shades of colour. You can use a light or dark tone of the same color. Also try mixing different techniques such as pastel chalk, watercolor and ink.
