On the opening day of the exhibition “The Art of Collecting – Expanding the Moderna Museet Collection”, Asrin Haidari, curator of the exhibition, and Jo Widoff, Head of Collection at Moderna Museet, meet for a conversation about what it means to acquire art and how a museum collection expands over time.

In the exhibition “The Art of Collecting”, works that have recently become part of Moderna Museet’s collection through acquisitions or donations are on display. The exhibition not only shows what has been collected, but also explores how and why collecting takes place and how it influences which stories about art are preserved for the future.
