Discover our new exhibition “Karol Radziszewski – The Classroom”. To celebrate the opening, the artist brings his Fag Fighters from Warsaw — a fictitious, yet very real, gang of “fags” wearing pink balaclavas as their trademark (originally made by the artist’s grandmother).

First conceived by Karol Radziszewski as a performance in 2007, the Fag Fighters now show up at the museum, infiltrating the collection and exhibition halls with their sensual, corporeal presence.

Mirroring the apparel and behaviorisms of toxic masculinity, the Fag Fighters embody the specter of homosexuality and haunt conservative discourse. Their image is one of a dangerous and subversive element, posing a deadly threat to traditional values and the social order.
