Curator guided tour & Concert

Thursday with music and art

12.9 2024

Malmö

In collaboration with The Baghdad Sessions, Malmö’s concert series for Arabic music, we welcome musician Farrah Trabulsi and friends. The evening begins with a guided tour of the exhibition ‘Unhealed’ by the two curators, Joa Ljungberg and Abir Boukhari.

For the concert, Farrah Trabulsi, a Malmö-based Arabic singer, has drawn inspiration from the exhibition ‘Unhealed’. Farrah, along with two fellow musicians, will perform songs by well-known musicians from Egypt, Lebanon, and Palestine, such as Sheikh Emam and Ahmad Kabor. These artists are known for their music with lyrics about occupation, political oppression and the longing for freedom. Farrah aims to highlight the human stories behind the occupation. The concert is especially dedicated to the many people currently in Palestine.

The concert will take place in the museum’s Kafé Sisko, which will be open all evening. Free admission for the concert.

Before the concert, we invite you to a guided tour with Joa Ljungberg and Abir Boukhari, the exhibition’s two curators. If you wish to join the curator-led tour, you will need an admission ticket to the museum.
