Amina Hocine is a Swedish composer and sound artist based in Stockholm. She is primarily known for her work with a self-built modular organ, which she has performed extensively across Europe in recent years. Her music explores immersive textures, minimalist and spiritual foundations, and rich psychoacoustic effects that she calls “Sound Crystals,” with a focus on the interplay between space and sound – both acoustically and experientially.
She also composes music for musicians and acousmatic works, the most recent being a commissioned piece for INA GRM’s Acousmonium x Edition festival, as well as “Tornmusik”, created for the Copenhagen Clarinet Choir and Brønshøj Water Tower in Copenhagen. Her instrumental debut album”ātamōn” was released on the Subtext label on 2 July, 2025.
On 16 May, she will present a work performed using one of her self-built organs.
