Weave a wall or build a dome! How kan you weave a seven meters long wall? What is a dome? Find out and join our creative workshop at Barnlandet during the Malmö Festival.

Date: 11, 12 and 13 August

Time: at 11.00–18.00

Location: Barnlandet, Malmöfestivalen, Kung Oscars väg

Age: For all ages. Children in company of an adult.

Three days of creativity

Moderna Museet will be on site at Barnlandet at the Malmö Festival in August. During three festival days, we offer two creative workshops – both using recycled materials.

WEAVE A WALL

Come and weave on a total of seven meters long wall! Together we create a textile wall out of a mounted plastic net. We use recycled textiles, and it is possible to weave from different directions and at different heights. The wall becomes a collective work of art that gradually grows during the festival.

RE-CONSTRUCT

We build geometric constructions from tightly rolled newspapers and masking tape. Will it be a dome, a tower or an improvised hut? Test by yourself!
