Guided family tour: Once upon a time… What happened next?
During the guided family tour, we explore how works of art can be – or become – part of a larger story.
We look, among other things, at Klara Kristalova’s sculpture “Where We Last Saw Them”, in which three figures are playing in a forest among snow-covered trees. Together, we reflect and create a story about what happens next in the forest and what the figures do next.
Create in the Workshop
In the Workshop, we create art in book form. Materials are available for the whole family to bind and create a book together, filled with their own stories in words and images.

Guided Family Tour: Once upon a time… in the midst of it all!
During the family tour, we step into the world of art and play with stories. Could there be different stories hidden within a single work of art? Together, we view artworks from the Moderna Museet collection, imagining and creating a shared story based on what we see.
Create in the Workshop
In the Workshop, the whole family can create visual stories with no clear beginning or end. When a story takes the form of a circle, you can start anywhere.
Holidays at the Museum
Draw, paint or sculpt together! During the school holidays, Moderna Museet always offers exciting activities for children. You can usually join a guided tour with an art educator and then create your own artwork, inspired by the techniques of various artists. You can also create freely in the drop-in holiday workshop.
