Celebrate the inauguration of “Stockholm Slides”, Moderna Museet’s new interactive double slide. The sculpture by Carsten Höller is not only a work of art but also an experience – go up, slide down, and encounter art in a new way!

“Stockholm Slides” (2025) was created especially for Moderna Museet by the artist Carsten Höller, known for his playful and interactive works. Carsten Höller, born in Belgium in 1961, currently lives in Stockholm, Ghana and Italy, and is represented in Moderna Museet’s collection with, among other works, the large mushroom sculptures “Giant Triple Mushroom” (2012).

Premiere ride on the slide!
Everyone who wishes to and is taller than 130 cm can ride “Stockholm Slides” free of charge. Entry to the slide is via the terrace on Floor 4 until 16.45.

Drinks and canapés
Between 13.00 and 14.00 we offer non-alcoholic drinks and canapés in the Foyer. First come, first served.

STOCKHOLM SLIDES: HOW TO TAKE A SLIDE

Opens on 4 October 2025!

To take a slide you need to be at least 6 years old and 1.3 metres tall.
If you are over 19 years old, you need to buy an entrance ticket at the ticket desk. During the opening weekend, Saturday 4 October and Sunday 5 October, everyone slides for free.
Leave your loose items and bags before you take a slide. Lockers are available inside the museum on floors 1 and 4.
Slide using a sliding mat, feet first.
Do not take a slide under the influence of alcohol.
“Stockholm Slides” is closed in rainy weather.
