Creative Workshop for Adults

Be inspired by Brassaï’s photographs

9.5 2026

Stockholm

Join a creative workshop and get inspired by the art in Moderna Museet’s new exhibition “Brassaï – The Secret Signs of Paris”. Together with photographer and Moderna Museet’s art educator, Snežana Vučetić Bohm, we explore photography and create in the workshop.

Learn more about the artist Brassaï, who photographed Paris and its nightlife in the early decades of the 20th century, and draw inspiration from his work during a creative afternoon.

Together with Snežana Vučetić Bohm we explore the exhibition “Brassaï – The Secret Signs of Paris“, examine a range of techniques, take part in sketching exercises, and take photographs indoors and outdoors using our mobile phone cameras. We create images in a variety of styles, including portraits, still lifes, and architectural studies.

In the workshop, we print our images in postcard format and use them to create collages. Throughout the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the artworks in the exhibition as well as in the workshop.

Brassaï – The Secret Signs of Paris

Brassaï is one of the most famous photographers in the history of photography.

In the early 1930s, he set out with his camera on long nocturnal walks through Paris. The exhibition “Brassaï – The Secret Signs of Paris” includes more than 160 vintage gelatine silver prints made by the photographer himself.
