In the new easy-to-read book “Why Art?” from LL-förlaget, authors Moa Candil and Bengt Fredrikson tell the reader about some of the artworks in Moderna Museet’s collection. Listen to the authors, the artist Anna Odell and the museum’s curator Ylva Hillström in a conversation about the book.

In Moderna Museet’s collection there are artworks from different places and times with widely different motifs and of different materials. In the easy-to-read book “Why Art?” from the LL publisher, the authors Bengt Fredrikson and Moa Candil tell the reader about a selection of the works, how they came to be and how they were received.

Meet the authors, the artist Anna Odell and the curator Ylva Hillström in a conversation about the book. What role does art play in the panelists’ lives? Do they see different things in the same artwork? Can you misunderstand art and what happens then?

After the talk, there is an opportunity to see the museum’s exhibitions in groups at 15–16.
