Stockholm

Join a guided tour of the exhibition “Where Each Stitch Breathes/Juohke sákkaldat vuoiŋá” with the artist Britta Marakatt-Labba. In the exhibition, you will encounter her intricate works – from the 24-metre-long embroidery “Historjá” to graphic art, installations, and sculptures.

“Where Each Stitch Breathes/Juohke sákkaldat vuoigŋá” features around sixty of Britta Marakatt-Labba’s works from 1968 to the present day. Against backdrops of mountain landscapes and snow-covered expanses, she depicts a way of life in which the spiritual world is ever-present – woven into everyday scenes, historical events, accounts of state oppression, and reflections on a threatened natural environment.
