Hans Ulrich Obrist is one of the world’s most influential personalities in the world of contemporary art and exhibition making. He has expanded the role of the curator to entirely new realms and invented a series of new formats for the presentation and distribution of art in our age.

Born in Switzerland in 1968, he is an art historian, curator and writer who has organised numerous exhibitions, biennials and triennials around the world. He has worked as a curator at Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris 2000-2006 and is now co-director and director of international programs at Serpentine Gallery in London.
