Graham Harman is one of today’s most talked about theorists. His speculative realism, a philosophy that aims to accord a new status to the objects that surround us, has attracted a great deal of attention in the art world as well. The lecture will be followed by Thirteen Questions about the Object: a question and answer session when Lars Strannegård, Daniel Birnbaum, Marcia Cavalcante, Jenny Lantz, Micael Dahlén, Sven-Olov Wallenstein and other participants from the Stockholm Schoolof Economics and the worlds of art and philosophy will beasking questions about the role of the object in the spheres of aesthetics, society and the market. Thirteen Questions about the Object will take place in the Sculpture After Sculpture exhibition, which consists of thirteen thought-provoking objects.
