Carsten Höller

New World

27.3 1999 – 9.5 1999

Stockholm

Carsten Höller was born in 1961 in Brussels. His exhibition, “New World”, is concerned with the human necessity of movement and with the craving for play and competition.

Nothing is quite what it seems. The exhibition concists of sculptures which also happen to be sea-worthy vessels, photographs with instructions for simple, often absurd, games which do not need any special equipment, a video which depicts the life of the scientist E D Hoffman, and much more.
