In connection with the Venice Biennale 2003, Molly Nesbit, Hans-Ulrich Obrist and Rirkrit Tiravanija compiled the international group exhibition Utopia Station for the Arsenale. A selection of the prototype posters from the exhibition is presented in the Loading Bay at Moderna Museet Malmö.
Utopia Station was an ongoing experiment, blending art, architecture and design with performance, book releases, debates and events of various kinds. Between 15 June and 2 November 2003, no day was like the other. More than 160 artists from all over the world were invited to submit posters to the Utopia Station Poster Project. The posters were printed at Städelschule in Frankfurt, and selected prototypes are shown now at Moderna Museet Malmö.
