Join the season’s third “Conversations in the Collection” in the exhibition “Another Morning – Drawing in the Moderna Museet Collection”. Artist Niki Lindroth von Bahr meets Moderna Museet curator Annika Gunnarsson for a conversation about drawing’s relationship to animation, stop motion and movement.

The exhibition “Another Morning – Drawing in the Moderna Museet Collection” explores and expands the notion of what drawing can be beyond pen and paper – as an action, as movement, and as a way of developing an idea towards storytelling.

During the conversation, Annika Gunnarsson and Niki Lindroth von Bahr will examine animation’s fundamental question: what is movement, and how does it come into being? What tools – conceptual as well as practical – do we use to depict displacement, time and change? And what possibilities does drawing possess once the form leaves the static page and enters the sequential and spatial realm?
