Open House and Vernissage

Welcome to the opening of the new exhibition “Träet talar”, an exhibition featuring wood as material, method, and motif, showcasing around fifty works from our collection. Join us for a guided tour of the exhibition!

The opening is celebrated in the spirit of the forest and ecology. Johannes Heldén will perform music and poetry that takes us through vegetation and more-than-human fragments, weather systems, and guardian trees. You can also experience a wandering spruce cone dropping its seeds in Ingela Ihrman’s performance “När inlandsisen dragit sig tillbaka från Sverige vandrade granen in ifrån norr.”

During the afternoon, there will be a birch bark workshop led by artist Emma Dahlqvist. Try folding and shaping birch bark – a natural material used by humans for thousands of years! Suitable for children and young people from 7 years old. Free admission and open to all.
