Bildmuseet in Umeå will be this year’s last stop for Moderna Museet c/o. The theme is Surrealism and Dada, with works by René Magritte, Marcel Duchamp and Man Ray, from Europe/USA, and Max Walter Svanberg, Stellan Mörner and Endre Nemes from Sweden.
These classics will be juxtaposed to works by later artists which are related in various ways to surrealist ideas and atmospheres: Maria Miesenberger, Joakim Pirinen, Marie-Louise Ekman, Niki de Saint Phalle, Julie Roberts and Dan Wolgers. And many others.
