Dunkers Kulturhus and Moderna Museet have jointly selected some 200 photographs from the museum’s large photography collection.
The main body of these are older photography, with an emphasis on the anthropological, documentary and political material. The exhibition will serve as a base for educational projects relating to the artistic and technical potential of photography today.
Dunkers Kulturhus will produce an extensive catalogue to accompany the exhibition, with essays by Anna Tellgren, curator at Moderna Museet, Kirse Junge-Stevnsborg, curator at Dunkers Kulturhus, Charlotte Bydler, art historian, Astrid La Cour, photography historian, Jonas Hansson, researcher in the history of ideas and knowledge at Lund University, Jonas Ekeberg, Preus Museum in Horten, and Håkan Petersson, picture restorer, Moderna Museet.
