Anthony McCall

10.10 2009 – 6.12 2009

Stockholm

The sensation of moving in darkness through Anthony McCall’s light walls – or membranes of light – is exceptional.

Since the 1970s, the beam of light produced by a cinema projector has inspired Anthony McCall to produce works in a variety of styles and media of postwar art – including minimalism, film, performance and drawing. Moderna Museet will feature two large light installations from the 2000s and number of drawings from the 1970s until today. Anthony McCall was born in London in 1946. He lives and works in New York.

Finissage

On 4–6 December at 11 am, 1 pm & 3 pm
During the final weekend of the exhibition Anthony McCall’s Line Describing a Cone (1973) will be shown in the right-hand exhibition room on Floor 2.
