Plan your visit
Parking
Parking spaces for those with a disabled parking permit are available both outside the main entrance and the entrance facing the water.
Toilets
Large accessible toilets are available on all three floors, with doors 90 cm wide.
The dimensions of each toilet space are: 265×190 cm (floor 1), 260×215 cm (floor 2), 250×210 cm (floor 4).
Wheelchairs and folding chair
A wheelchair is available for loan. Please ask at the information desk.
Folding chairs are available to borrow near the exhibitions.
Lockers
Lockable lockers are available on floors 4 and 1.
Hearing loops
Hearing loops are available in the Auditorium and Cinema. Set your hearing aid to the “T” position.
Reception loops are available at the information desks on floor 2 and 4. Set your hearing aid to the “T” position.
Ear Defenders
For those who need to block out sound, ear defenders are available to borrow at the information desk. Leave an ID card as a deposit.
We have ear defenders for both children and adults.
Dogs
Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.
A water bowl for your dog is available in the Coffee Bar.
Personal assistant
Personal assistants have free admission to the museum.

Doors
All doors open automatically, except for the doors to the Study Gallery, where staff on site will assist you.
Thresholds
No thresholds or other barriers in the building.
Lifts
There are two lifts between the museum’s three public floors. The lift doors open automatically.

Scents and dust
When setting up new exhibitions, there may be dust and strong odours.
Food
The restaurant can offer gluten- and lactose-free meals. Traces of nuts may be present in the offerings at the Restaurant, Coffee Bar, and Café Blom.

Pets
No animals are allowed in the museum except guide and assistance dogs. Please contact the information desk with any questions: Contact Moderna Museet.
Cleaning agents and soap
The cleaning products used in our facilities and the soap in our restrooms are fragrance-free and approved by the Swedish National Association for Asthma and Allergies (Astma- och Allergiförbundet).
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on our outdoor terraces or at the museum’s entrances.
Plants and flowers
Live plants and flowers can be found in the museum’s restaurant. On special occasions, plants may also be present in other parts of the museum. Please contact the information desk with any questions: Contact Moderna Museet.
