You, who usually sit in the audience on a dance performance and wonder why it looks the way it does, get the chance for a day to do a physical deep dive into contemporary dance. Test the way of working and get to know the ideas behind Björn Säfsten’s choreography. No previous experience is required, just a curious body.
The workshop starts at 10.00 and ends at 16.00 and contains, in addition to exercises, several breaks with time for discussions. There will be a joint lunch for all participants as part of the workshop day.
About Björn Säfsten
Björn Säfsten is a dancer and choreographer, originally from Umeå, with Stockholm as his base. He is active both in Sweden and internationally and during the last 20 years has primarily created works within his own business but also for a number of Swedish dance institutions such as Skånes Dansteater, Cullberg and Regionteater Väst.
