Tour & Workshop: Light and Darkness
How does it feel to experience something bright? How have artists worked with light and darkness in their artworks? Over the Easter break, we will visit the collection exhibitions together to explore how artists have worked with light and darkness in various ways.
We will then work with watercolours and create evocative images using contrasts, in Zon.

Draw, paint or sculpt together! During the February break, Easter, summer and autumn breaks and Christmas, Moderna Museet organises fun activities for kids. Usually, this includes a guided tour together with an art educator, followed by a creative session inspired by the artists’ methods. You can also make your own art at the drop-in workshop during school breaks. Watch this space for more information about holiday activities!
Can’t make it to the Museum? Be inspired at home by artists such as Siri Derkert, Eva Hesse, Hilma af Klint and Pablo Picasso! Moderna Museet’s YouTube playlist “Create like” (in Swedish) has tips on how to make your own works of art inspired by artists in the Moderna Museet collection. There is no right or wrong, ugly or nice when you make art.
