Artist talk: Laurie Anderson

Looking into a Mirror Sideways

31.3 2023

Laurie Anderson’s retrospective “Looking into a Mirror Sideways” opens at Moderna Museet on 1 April. But you can meet her already on 31 March in an artist talk with the exhibition curator, Lena Essling, and find out more about her legendary, multifaceted and award-winning artistic practice.

After her breakthrough in the mid-1970s as a performance and video artist, and her international hit single “O Superman” in 1981, Laurie Anderson (b. 1947) is now equally famous as a composer, filmmaker, writer and innovative visual and performance artist. The exhibition “Looking into a Mirror Sideways” is Laurie Anderson’s largest solo show to date in Europe.

After the artist talk, you are welcome to visit the exhibition between 17.00 and 18.00.
