Welcome to a lecture by Cecilia Widenheim, director of Tensta Konsthall and former curator at Moderna Museet, relating to the current exhibition “Gunilla Palmstierna-Weiss: Vivid Scenes 1964–1984”.

Based on Gunilla Palmstierna-Weiss’ artistic practice and her own experiences of working with women artists, Cecilia Widenheim will talk about the exhibition format as a catalyst for discussion, reflection and knowledge production.

Cecilia Widenheim is an art historian and was a curator at Moderna Museet in 1997-2012. She was the director of Iaspis – the Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s International Program, and of Malmö Konstmuseum, and is currently directing activities at Tensta Konsthall since the winter of 2018/19.

Gunilla Palmstierna-Weiss, born in 1928, has operated in the interface between stage design and visual art – in close dialogue with an international scene of intellectually and politically committed cultural workers. Visit the exhibition Gunilla Palmstierna-Weiss: Vivid Scenes 1964–1984, which ends on 29 September, 2019.
