Björn Lövin (1937–2009) ventured beyond traditional art genres and was one of the first artists in Sweden who began creating spatial installations – which were then called environments – in the late 1960s.
Three of Lövin’s environments have been reconstructed in minute detail for the exhibition “The Surrounding Reality”, based on photographs, films and interviews with the artist’s family and friends, and extensive research.
