Stockholm

Listen to cello music in Lygia Pape’s installation Ttéia 1,C. The music will alternate with a personal presentation on Lygia Pape by Marcia Sá Cavalcante Schuback, professor of philosophy, who will talk about her experiences of studying architecture for Pape in Rio de Janeiro in the late 1970s. Peter Schuback will perform cello music with links to the art.

Marcia Sá Cavalcante Schuback studied under Lygia Pape

Marcia Sá Cavalcante Schuback, professor of philosophy at Södertörn University, talks about Lygia Pape and her experiences of studying architecture for Pape in Rio de Janeiro. She will also describe the spirit in which the neoconcrete artists worked in the late 1950s and the early 1960s.

Cello solos with Peter Schuback

Alternating with Sá Cavalcante Schuback’s presentation, the cellist and composer Peter Schuback will perform Latin American music composed at the time when neoconcretism was at its height, and which had a strong influence on the artists. Schuback will also perform one of his own works, as a musical comment.
