World Premiere! The opera ”HILMA – an Opera about Hidden Art” combines tones and timbres with the colours and shapes of Swedish abstract artist Hilma af Klint, and her unique body of spiritualistic work. Experience scenes of Hilma af Klint’s life with projections of her paintings creating an illusion of coming from thin air. Music by Benjamin Staern, directed by Mira Bartov.

This chamber opera, paints crucial scenes of Hilma af Klint’s life with projections of her paintings creating an illusion of coming from thin air. Mette af Klint plays the enigmatic Hilma af Klint, while anthroposoph Rudolf Steiner is portrayed by Fredrik af Klint, a close relative of the artist.
