In 2016, guests will include several prominent international writers:
Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o (Kenya/USA), Samanta Schweblin (Argentina/Germany), Saša Stanišić (Bosnia/Germany), Dorit Rabinyan (Israel), Almudena Grandes (Spain), Don DeLillo (USA), Jamaica Kincaid (Antigua/USA), Hiromi Itō (Japan/USA), Monika Fagerholm (Finland), Sjón (Iceland) and Hélène Cixous (Algeria/France).
They will be talking to the writers Jerker Virdborg, Daniel Sjölin, Elisabeth Åsbrink,Majgull Axelsson, Kristina Sandberg, Martina Montelius, choreographer and stage director Mats Ek, museum director Daniel Birnbaum, and the artist Astrid Svangren (all from Sweden). Talks in the exhibition Thomas Schütte: United Enemies will feature writerCarl-Henning Wijkmark and actor Hannes Meidal.
The Translation of the Year Prize will be presented at the Festival. The 2016 Prize is awarded to Henrika Ringbom, for her translation of Toivo by Henriikka Tavi (Finland).
Admission free in 2016
Thanks to a contribution from the BA Danelii Foundation, the Festival card for 2016 is free. Like before, however, supplementary tickets are required for special events.

Stockholm Literature | Moderna Museet is organised by the NGO Stockholms Litteraturfestival, with Moderna Museet as its key partner, and Dramaten as its permanent partner.

About the organisation
The directors of the Festival association in 2016 are Jonas Modig (chairman), Malin Nasiell, Ann-Louise Gustavsson, Magnus Florin, Ann-Sofi Noring och Eva Leonte.
The following have been engaged in producing the 2016 edition: Yukiko Duke (Artistic Director), Malin Nasiell (Festival Director) and Sara Henrikson (Public Relations), in close collaboration with Catrin Lundqvist, curator Moderna Museet, and the Festival association: Lina Kalmteg, Kristoffer Leandoer and Daniel Sjölin.
Stockholm Literature brings together international literature and practitioners of other arts. Arts organisations, publishers and other interested parties are welcome to suggest events. Stockholm Literature was founded in 2013 by Stefan Ingvarsson and Margareta Petersson.
