Hank Grüner

Hank approaches his artistic practice from a place of personal history and deeply personal experiences, paired with an exploration of cultural heritage, belonging and transformative mythology.

While Hanks’ visual references at first glance feel distinctly contemporary, with a Pop-Punk aesthetic and a raw, honest approach to materials, they are also rooted in an exploration of shamanism and ancient South American artefacts. Hank’s artworks are an antidote to alienation, a celebration of cultural heritage, archetypes and history.
